I just watched the video.

Him going all the way in with "In fact, it's super diverse! lol! Chinks! Blacks! Tacos! Oh my!" was definitely a contradiction.

BUT it's good to keep in mind that he was under the impression that these allegations came from an "unnamed source".  Which they originally did.

This "unnamed source" coupled with the fact that he felt it was an inclusive environment were the perfect combo to lead him to the statement he made.

He wasn't contradicting Gabby directly. He was contradicting the STORY, and the "unnamed source".

This is why I think Gabrielle should have just came out and stood in her mess flat out instead of being passive about it by sending out highly ambiguous "Thank you" messages or whatever else she was doing.

The topic at hand is racism you experienced. Not someone saying you're ugly behind your back at work or something. Speak up if you want action, sis. The fuck? She's Gab Union - people take her seriously. She's not a joke. He definitely would have thought twice about talking against the story if he knew it came directly from Gab's mouth from the jump.

I wanted her to come out and just stand in the mess from the get go.

well to be fair, she has a lawsuit pending that's probably why she can't say anything.
And she's has never been one to air out her mess in the public arena

Gabrielle didn't make these claims to begin with. They came from an "unnamed source", and those are the reports he was addressing.

He was NOT contradicting Gabrielle Union- the woman. But he definitely contradicted the story. Does that make sense?

If you watch the video you'll see he's clearly under the impression that Gabby had NEVER come forward to confirm any of the mess or make an official statement.

And....she didn't. Is that his fault?
Should he be accused of contradicting Gabrielle Union when there was no statement from her to....contradict?

I read what you said and I agree to a certain extent but he's silence speaks volumes. I think it's very calculated and if she didn't speak directly on it, he shouldn't have gone out of his way to slam the claim no matter where it came from unless she flat out denies it.

I still believe whatever Gabby has "confirmed" though.

And I do believe Terry had the greatest time of his life. He's not walking into these studios with his woke lenses on, but Gabrielle is. So it's understandable and very possible that they'd see and experience things totally differently.

So I believe him and feel his statement about his experience was genuine.

And to say Terry Crews has directly contradicted Gabrielle Union when she has yet to make an official statement on this, and he was (rightfully) under the impression that Gabrielle never confirmed the reports, is a bit unfair.
