suicidal tendencies look different for everyone. I wouldn't be so quick to shoot down the thought, BUT i can't see it for the simple fact that as a pilot, he's had plenty of chances to off himself on his own time if he wanted :dead:

not taking down 8 other people with him. Kobe has trusted him as his pilot for YEARS now and wouldn't let anyone fly him anywhere.
there's other possibilities as well....

i don't feel comfortable saying whats on my mind cuz i dont wanna put it out there in any way...and remain respectful....ill just wait to see what happens
Let's hear it

This wasn't no damn suicide. I work with a lot of pilots and there is a code of ethics they need to follow specifically if they have a history of mental illness and are a part of a union. They get evaluated regularly. People are so
fckin stupid I wonder how they even finished kindergarten.

In March 2015, a Germanwings pilot deliberately flew a commercial plane into a mountain. There was 150 people onboard and everyone died.

They ended up finding out that the pilot used to suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts and was deemed unfit to work, but he kept this information from his employer.

I'm not saying these things happen all the time but it's possible that Kobe's pilot was battling from depression and suicidal thoughts and didn't tell anyone....

It does NOT happen often.

I didn't say it happens often. It happens though.

Not with a pilot in good standing with the FAA. And Kobe's pilot was in good standing which makes it all the moreso more tragic.

Ok. Yea, it's tragic. Hope they find some more info in their investigation.

Good Morning Gorgeous

Have you guys considered that the pilot was well aware of the dangers but was under pressure from Kobe to continue to the destination. There was a scheduled game that all three of those girls were supposed to participate in and he was coaching.

I think it's dangerous to put all the blame on the pilot and insinuate he was a MENT girl. Although this could be true, it could also be true that Kobe instructed him to continue to ensure they made the game. This could explain why he stopped responding to the calls regarding him flying so low. Just a thought...🤷🏽‍♂️

I mean...some years back a pilot flew a commercial aircraft with 150 passengers into the mountains because he was suicidal. It happens.

djdjdjdjdj what in the world does a code of ethics have to do with a gor ready to end it all  :dead:

He descended at 2000 feet per minute

But also Kobe copter did NOT have terrain detection equipment as they had previously recommended for it
It was reported that the terrain detection wouldn't have made a difference with the angle and speed they were traveling at, they also said they were just 20-30 feet from being clear of that mountain.
they also said he had no business going that fast though

Maybe it wouldn't have mattered but ugh

i don't see that at all

Kobe wasn't a tyrant at this point in life. I can't imagine the pilot saying "hey, this is too dangerous to fly in" and Kobe saying "what?! Must make it to the game!"

It's dangerous to assume any of this, but i just can't see it
