That was a big deal at the time. Michael Harris had originally suggested Monica (not lying lol) as his prom date  but Kobe insisted on Brandy because he was a big fan. And for it to happen when they were traveling for a basketball game and knowing that her loving the game created an even stronger bond between them...ugh!

I am so devastated for his family but thinking of his wife is just painful.
