Idk, how I feel on this. I def think Gayle was wrong AF and it was distasteful . However, I feel we so easily throw black women away for their poor judgement yet will protect black men despite theirs.
Chrisette and Kanye are a great example. She has no career and has yet to recover, but Kanye still has black people who support him yet his infraction was far worse. Wrong is wrong, but I don't like the pleasure we find in prosecuting black women in an attempt to protect black men (who rarely give a fuck about the community). We'll die on a cross to protect the sanctity of black men even in the face of toxicity but our sisters don't get that same pass even if the intent was good.
