but who was Christina exactly clearing at that time? I mean she was never THE girl of any era. Britney was more commercially successful than her, and many other women. How did she have that kind of pull so fast?  

I remember once Destiny's Child mentioning have to change outside or under the stage, something to that sort back when their opened for her. They never said anything directly about her, it was more so talking about coming up in the industry. Looking back at it now, I can only imagine that Christina didn't not allow them to have a dressing area lol. These were pretty big venues and they were the only other act, how could they not find a space for them?
