hate to be that rude about it, but his ass just needs to sit in that senator's chair until it's time to check in at Shady Acres. All these presidential runs should have been done in the 80's for him

Don't get me started on the Bernie Bros  He has some good policy ideas but the likelihood of getting them passed isn't favorable. And I'm just not too moved by any of these old white men, no matter how much they pander. I'm just SICK of em all, and toss Pete in with em too. I'm ready for a female president.

Pete is SO damn transparent, arrogant, and delusional.

If he thinks he can honestly run against Donald Trump and Red America, and win, he's completely selfish.

He's backed by a bunch of elites himself. And if he tries to lump all civil rights struggles together one more time to gain the black vote

Ever. And the way his campaign tried to act like black homophobia was the reason they didn't fuck with him, when these white baby boomers and middle Americans don't see it for the gay stuff just as much if not more.

Elizabeth is more than prepared to take the debate stage with Trump. She was last evening's standout. She never waits for the race question because she understands how race informs every form of public policy.

I agree with this, but she needs to come harder for me. What made folks like Yang and even Tulsi stand out is their stances on policies that no one else is focusing on, like UBI, or foreign policy. People like that. Kamala fucked up in the 1st debate because she let a Jewish white woman outflank her on race issues when she brought up reparations, and derailed it to bullshit about busing, and she never really recovered from Tulsi pulling her card about her record.

Liz needs to pick up where they left off, focus on those niche specific policies like redlining, etc, and she might have a fighting chance. She's fortunate that the others are weak on race issues and kinda don't wanna touch that (sans Steyer maybe), even Bernie.

She most certainly brought the heat especially with redlining, and environmental justice. She's been very consistent with these topics especially the latter. Tulsi was problematic. 

I hope you're right. We'll see.

Eh...Hillary had the popularity, but she never really had a coherent message. Flip flopped on issues (public vs private stance), didn't campaign in Midwest states, and was too reactionary to what trump was doing. Liz is cut from the same cloth. The media is still doing for trump what they did four years ago. It's like they're giving him his re-election in a way.

they aren't similar at all IMO

Elizabeth is not Hillary. She's has been passionate about liberal politics  and working  congressionally to overthrow our racist and classist system for some years now.  The Clinton's never quite atoned for that 3 strike law.

Never said she didn't have a coherent message. I said she's not strong enough on specific issues for me, in a similar way to how Hillary was. Right now, she's floating in the "progressive space" next to Bernie, but I don't think she's done enough to distinguish her platform from his.

I mean, I thought Hillary had the last election in the bag. I estimated she had an 88% chance of victory over trump (don't ask where I got that number from lol), but we see how that panned out. I can admit when I'm wrong. Liz still has time to tweak her platform, but I don't really have high hopes for her.
