wow Rodney havent heard him say her name in a LONG time
I remember Kindred saying Rodney worked on the Bran album like last year
I bet its scrapped though
nah not scrapped

She was actually pursuing him harder than he was. She wanted ideas from him to see what he had and she did like some rough takes here and there but nothing solid

No complete song actually came from the back and forth, if i recall. Anything is possible though

Kindred can correct me if she sees this, but that's what i remember her saying
that must've been a private convo because
when I posted the Bran and Queen LA song from Star, Kin was like "Bran and Rodney did a LOT more than this! ya'll are in for a nice surprise" or something I gotta find the thread

This is Afrodisiac tone, personified:

Full moon brandy would NOT have attacked it like this. It would've been very different, though still dope.

There's this very very small and subtle nuance that she does right at 2:32 after the very first run that she does to open up her part on this song, and she did that a lot during the AFRO era. "HEEEEeeeeeey yeeeea ...  nah"

With the slight rasp at the very end to set it off. Very signature for the Afrodisiac era and album
:plzstop:

Le Champ

We doing all this and Bran can revert back to any of these tones right NOW
damn alien :gorlonfire:

Her Afro tone just depended on the day she woke up cause...too many varieties. But her vocal approach def wasnt like this on the 1st 3 eras. I dont know how to describe it but it was more of a vocal attack.

Im realizing Babyface had some rivals on this
Brandy and Mo
Mary and Faith
Musiq and Jaheim were beefing at the time (so random)

!!!!! It was more raw on some tracks and less "produced" i think

Songs like "like it was yesterday" are a great example

Right. With Full Moon, the ad libs were perfectly placed (which is a good thing), but you can tell on Afrodisiac, she was more liberated vocally and more experimental.
