I've seen it done in other countries, never gave it much thought but I agree. It makes sense to sweep with a dry broom, scrub with a different wet broom, then use a mop afterwards. I kinda wanna try it.
We clean our patio with bleach, pressure water, and a push broom. It's the same idea.... why would you get on your knees and scrub?.. and any other method, you honestly ain't really cleaning shit. 
Florida is heavily island influenced though.
Exactly! We use a push broom for our wet patios and sidewalks too so it makes sense.
