I think, or at least I'd like to believe, that Maverick and eONE are being a bit strategic and cautious with how they allocate funding for this project. I don't see them putting all of their resources into Baby Mama simply because it's Brandy's first REAL single in 8 years. I'm sure they're using the song as a "feeler" to determine how much "support" they'll give for the rest of the project. I do think the way the single performs is very important though but I don't see them being overly critical of the "numbers" because I'm sure they understand this is just the beginning and it's going to take some time for people to jump back on the Brandy train.
