The vocal arrangements of this song reminds me of that song she did with Esthero called Believer ..where the subtleties of her vocals really stand out. What sounds like a slight whisper or a coo is more powerful than a belt or a full on run...and makes the message of the song really stand out. Just so much emotion. I can tell she was really in her feelings when they recorded this. No doubt thinking about her past relationships. Her voice really stands out on songs like this.
