We all see that it's messy
If the battle happens, it'll be LESS messy and they could literally remove the silver bullet if these two things happen:
1) Brandy is her authentic self and people realize she's no longer The Shade Room girl
2) They show GENUINE love and respect for each other during the celebration

If that can't happen, then I agree, they shouldn't do it. But it can. The people against it don't realize that Brandy and Monica actually do have the power to have a say so in the narrative, whether everyone buys it or not. Y'all give Twitter stans and TSR too much These people are a bunch of followers anyway. If their respect for each other is genuine, a lot of people will MOVE ON.

I agree. If all these things were to happen, it could probably work. That being said, I don't think they could do it  I just don't. That's why I don't think comparing to Jill and Erykah makes sense. Their whole history and rapport is totally different. I feel like Bran and Monica can be cordial at the most.

It's how the average person hears things. Some people think Monica is better because of volume. They think holding long, loud notes makes you a better singer.
No shade, but it's the same reason people think Jennifer Hudson is a vocal supreme. She's great, but there are plenty of other BETTER singers. PLENTY lol

when Monica was almost offered the gig of her replacement on the real.. when they kept testing her. Then she started throwing shade at Monica's voice.. big upping brandy and even had her DJ play "I wanna be down" before Monica's set on tour NIGHTLY
