I wish the trans had spoken up too actually. I really would like to hear a clear explanation from someone that thinks Monica is a better singer. I just wanna understand what they're hearing instead of just writing them off as someone who doesn't understand music/vocals.

and that constantly singing full voice = a good singer
Monica like whitney is a raw talent without much technical skill behind it
so when the raw talent fades they dont have much
Brandy taking the time to develop her voice and understand it and try to master it has helped to preserve her gift
so Monica may have impressed upon some people that she was this vocal genius
but now we can actually hear that she isnt
and standing side by side brandy again thats evident as well

It was a good debate I just wish Maddy spoke up more because there are definitely people who don't see it for Brandy like that so I would have liked her to give more of that POV instead of just jokes.

Maddy aint a singer though so her opinion wouldnt have really went anywhere. She's a ghetto chick from the A that just resonate more with Monica's music perhaps. Monica really do be having people thinking that she's some...songstress.

It's how the average person hears things. Some people think Monica is better because of volume. They think holding long, loud notes makes you a better singer.
No shade, but it's the same reason people think Jennifer Hudson is a vocal supreme. She's great, but there are plenty of other BETTER singers. PLENTY lol

Bruv I felt like she was being sincere here. If anything, I feel like the dude was coming from more of a personal place the way he kept talking about how she's always flat. He was kinda rude
