She sold her publishing for the record to some company for 50K. She sold 100% of the publishing rights so no they dont have to pay her. The publishing company owns the entire composition (melody, sounds, lyrics and master recording)

Some artist sell 50% so that they can continue to own stake in the record but she isn't smart and sold the entire thing

A old client of mine's name Big L he owns some of her master recordings. She took him to court and she loss the case. Bc she doesn't know the business and doesn't have a lawyer overlook her contracts.
