But most of these cops are trigger happy, out of shape and don't know how to properly de-escalate a situation, so this kind of incompetence is inevitable.

the bottom line is that this should not have ended with him losing his life

even if he woulda got away from them, they had his fucking car get it towed, impounded, or whatever.
make him pay for his crime that way. inconvenience him. then arrest him at his home or something...am mean, i'm assuming there was a whole license plate number and registration attached to his mess.
