Nicki antagonized Cardi, and knew exactly when she was doing up until this point. The way Nicki defeated Lil Kim, was by using the same tactics that tried to do with Cardi.  By saying, I love her in one breath and the next, throw light subliminals and act innocent. 

The difference is Cardi tried to fight her, instead of responding on tape. Cardi just hadn't shook of the LHH/Bronx  just yet.
