See that is the problem with the USA, basically they have ignored the problem by carrying on like nothing was going on to protect Wallstreet, no strict rules.. other countries did a complete shutdown (temporary economic crisis but recovering now). The USA didn't manage to flatten the curve at all.

It is understandable that it is difficult to control the population and spread since it is a huge country, therefore I initially expected a lot more serious rules and recommendations. I feel like people like Birx tried to downplay the virus to avoid mass hysteria but a very serious and clear warning was really needed in Europe for people to get anxious/ get a clear understanding of the danger and stay home and isolate.
