if we're looking at simply: RACE is still at the root the issue here - even with all things i mentioned considered.

Afro that logic could be used in any industry though. So working in corporate America I should expect to be paid less because the company provides services to the public and most of the country is white?

i don't think true equality in pay in Hollywood will be completely realistic until there's more of a shift within the population
america is still over 70% white. which IMO, explains why a lot of White actors are more in demand and get paid more
we're in a White country. and people like to see people who look like them on screens.
and see stories they can relate to (which is why WE love BET, etc).

this is just putting emotions aside and thinking logically

i do believe that there is def racism within the industry itself
as there is everywhere else in america

but that's kinda how i see this thing. i hate to say it but there's a bit of logic and reasoning to the wide gap.
f it were up to me, we'd have blacks on every channel and whites would be hoping for scraps

simply put: I think equality in pay within Hollywood will eventually come, considering the increasing diversity within the country's population, but we most likely won't see it in our lifetime.

We definitely need more Black Producers and creators in the business, period. 

Because even with Black men and women getting more and more roles, most of them are still under the scope and point of view shared by white folks at the end of the day  even the slave themed work. It's how they perceive us to be and how they think we speak.
