Susan Boyle did big numbers musically but she wasnt relevant. Sade does big numbers when she releases but she isnt relevant with every release. Its not unheard of to do great numbers musically and still be unrelevant.

Relevant = Pop culture

If your not doing SOMETHING in POPULAR culture than you're irrrelevant. She is doing alot in popular CULTURE. Just not in the area of music. She is dating a POPULAR athlete, she is endorsing a GLOBAL brand, and she is on PRIMETIME televison.
