Britney use to be a force on stage

N

Britney was ALWAYS terrible.

It's funny cause Brit wasn't even widely revered as this showstopping performer when she was actually hott. At most she was usually seen as someone who most people had very low expectations for going into a performance and it actually ended up being lowkey decent.

It wasn't until she became the utter mess she is today compared to her old self that people started revising history and acting she had Beyonce level clout as a performer before her mental collapse, she never did.

Sdfghhb

The only cute britney performance I recall is the 1 with Michael. And he was leading and directing her every step of the way.

I also remember when she performed with nsync on mtv and they ate her right up. I've never been impressed with her mess. Kiss! Snake! Strip!

She was great in her music videos...but it never translated to the stage for me.

Her vocal on the MJ performance tho. :plzstop:

But yeah her performances were always more memorable for a particular gimmick (Snakes, lesbo kisses, etc.) than the performance in totality.

I always try to take my personal opinion out of it and look at how the performance is recieved by the live audience. I cannot think of a single Britney performance even the ones hyped up as the best of her prime that just shut shit down and brought the entire house to their feet, I think maybe 6 or 7 people gave her a standing O for the snake performance but dassit. The audience always gave her an "ok that was cute!" :justabit: while remaining perched in their seats, for example:

Murrah

Shan slayed her duet with Stevie that year.

Ashanti sauntering out in the Roberto Cavallli gown is life. The crowd's energy was so hype, she was such a force. Unlike her peers she received commercial success strictly doing R&B.

Her signature weave rub, point, and dip combo always took me out. She bout stuffer than Jewel. :dead:

And that helium vocal.....  :plzstop:

It's called star quality. She brought in viewership and major sponsors. Summer, Ella, nor Sza damn sure not doing it. Not today, tomorrow, or in their lifetime.

Even though intuition is a bop. I never understood why she did that.

Was she feeling the pressure because the zørls were running around in tube tops and booty shorts / mini skirts?

I don't think I even bothered to listen to the album.

.

The song was more about the Experience she had with the label trying to make her something she wasn't and to change her music to compete with the other pop girls! The album was her most pop album while still being her at the same time tho

But the whole album went from her acoustic alternative vibe to more radio ready sounding mess with the same producers behind the likes of Robbie Williams, Kylie etc.

I remember that "Stand" song being particularly disgusting.
