It was part of her probation agreement. It's not like the  judge is targeting her for not doing her homework, as all those posts make it seem. The girl was already in trouble and didn't hold up her end of the bargain, so she's being held accountable. It's sad either way, but they should be telling the full story.

I really want to know what the mother has planned to support her if she's released soon.

After reading about this, it may be best for her not to stay with the mother at all

Mother daughter relationships are complex enough as is, and who knows how the mom gets down    there's no guarantee she's cotton candy and gumdrops herself
