I know this is somehow your Alber but .. if u felt that close to it.. you would've told Sonja how bad the mixing is

like wtf aren't y'all understanding
mixing/mastering is OBJECTIVE and literally the one thing that shouldn't have been WRONG

It's not my album.  And honestly I can feel how u wNt to.  I have never heard an album and said well I wonder what went wrong in mixing.  I'm not a dj or a engineer and don't think the GP gives two shits.


So that's why I think folk are being negative.  But y'all have at it if that's what u look for in an album.....

It's not a choice 

Brandy fans are more inclined to pick up on mixing issues bc we pay so close attention to her backgrounds, harmonies, etc. We like Brandy for the intricacies of her music so when there's one thing like this that stands out it's glaringly obvious. Don't care if K Michelle album ain't mixed properly bc she just gonna scream at us the whole time anyway. But this is BRANDY. She deserves the best.

Again.  The ten fans who care about mixing on b source can have a field day.  I'm not refuting anyone's claims or saying it's false.  idK but I don't think the gp cares.   


And again people are dragging the mixing quick and easy, but struggle to say anything about the person who's board they are obsessed with.

As I mentioned earlier, I support her through album and ticket purchases. Nothing released so far from this era has impressed me so I'm not gonna fake stan about it if I don't really enjoy it 

Bran is still my favorite artist and voice of all time, and I always have anticipate her new releases. But just because I'm a stan doesn't mean I have to gas up everything she ever does or it suddenly is invalidated. Hopefully there's something on the album that does it for me.

I am listening to the final version of BL and i dont know shit about mixing or mastering but it sounds crisp as hell to me and it doesnt sound as muffled as the snippet. 

Again;

I highly DOUBT any person is going to be like "damn these sound levels are all off" 

Thats why i dont understand why its such an area of contention.

Even if you HATE it;  is it really necessary to drag it out on a message board for brandy.  consisting of folk who have been waiting 8 years for their favorite artist to release. 

thats not something that can be discussed something next or week or after the album is released?

Well sir i will never subscribe to toxic positivity
But i am truly on brandys side
It was me who said to release the need for this album and it will come
It was me who said she needed to take a good 2 to 4 years to learn some things and im fine with her taking 10 yearsif need be
I supported her clapback season because she needed that time for healing
And i support real time emotions expressed
The days of this is the best work ever only to say its a piece of shit 3 years later are over
Ive always said it and i always will say it how i see it in real time

The album is great the quality as were used to is a bit compromised  both on production and mastering

Im not being negative everyone needs time to vibe with the album
But in 2020 we know that its not much that will blow us away anymore
Because all of this idolatry and celebrity has fallen
Now we all have issues  but no longer sugarcoating is a theme of growth
I cam still be proud of brandy and want the best for her and support her and still speak my mind so
