This album is far too experimental to be compared to albums like Human


i know people haven't heard the full album yet, but there are too many twists and turns and beat changes for this to be compared to anything she's done in 2008 especially

Human was more of an inspirational album with basic arrangements that she made sound special.  I love that album and era vocally. Vocally that era is unmatched for me, but this album is a totally different kinda thing and way more straightforward.

"Lucid Dream" was originally entitled "Ambien" so she's singing about some real addictions and some real real shit if people pay attention. What i love about it is the authenticity and experimentation, even though i wanted the vocal to be softer and prettier in spots ....  but it's obviously meant to go haywire and be imperfect because of what she's singing about.


These 20 second snippets didn't reveal much from my favorite songs either and im glad about it.  The European release will be out in the morning, right?

Just listened and I'm more excited to hear these songs in full. The only thing I'll say is the interludes are weird. Her vocals should be clear because her voice sounds so pretty.

Yeah you cnt really hear her vocal and how she was singing down but for the sound of the album I do like that its mysterious and eerie, giving me Drake/Solange vibes
