I am Wendy Raquel color, but I wouldn't consider myself light skin. I consider Tisha light skin...

I'm mixed but I consider myself black because my daddy is black. Men are known to have the more dominant trait. Now don't get me wrong, I'm very in tune with the crackers side of myself and blood but being Black>>>

Being light or dark doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. It did in the slavery days when the white man was choosing which slave to rape but only blacks hold on to that mentality now a days.

Being light will not stop a cop from throwing your ass in jail or denying you a job even if you are more qualified than your white peer.

People are just afraid of being dark skinned . lol
Or even anyone THINKING they are. :dead: or brown skinned, etc. whatever.

I just wasn't raised in an environment where race and color was so important.
My grandmother wasn't sitting around talking about who's light , brown, dark, or whatever.
or who had good hair, bad hair, and mess.
Don't really think she cared. :dead: Long as she was beat for the Gods when she walked out her door. :wellheythere:
and her children and grandchildren were perched.

I honestly think I took a lot of that personality from her. :dead: It's no big deal for all these subcategories and mess. :dead:

Call me what you want. Because your perception is my reality. I just know that I'm perched.

AIDS!

Ever since the 'black is beautiful' movement started in the late 80's, I think these days you can find just as many people who are proud of their dark skin as those who are ashamed of it and call it anything else other than dark

I'm sure u guys remember me being oblivious to why so many black people were angry down here in the South.  :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop:

once I did my research I was like omfg :uhh: :uhh: :uhh:

I still don't lump everyone into one bucket though....but I just know and understand....and can even align .. with this "anger".

i've noticed its usually dark skinned people who salivate over the light skinned gorls.
and/or idolize them (for their skin tone, etc.). just an observation
and a lot of light skin guys go up and up for darker men
