She def booked.

Toni Braxton did 16k her last album too. Another artist from the 90s. Had a reality TV show and all to help promote. TLC did 12k for their album.

Its cool to know Brandy did it her own way and did the songs she wanted and still did her thing. For anyone "confused" about the sales amount, u obviously dont know whats going on in the industry atm.

I totally get ur point but if her numbers are low how is this good? I'm sure she spent her own money for everything. I dunno maybe I'm thinking about the wrong stuff. I don't get all the streaming mess just being honest.

This is not low  :dead:
Especially not in Brandy's context. People don't buy albums anymore, she didn't have a hit single, she's independent, she's been gone for 8 years, and she's a 41 year old r&b artist from the 90s. There are younger artists on major labels who aren't pulling these numbers, and definitely none of her peers are. This is actually really good. Is this your first time paying attention to album sales in the past 5 years? Lol

Harlem

Regardless of numbers, I think just being in the top 10 first week is good... that's it you made your mark and have bragging points so they should celebrate that for now but strategize on how to give the album legs so it don't drop out of top 20 within a month

Why does everyone can't saying no hit single? Didn't BM reach top 7 on urban ac. That's a hit imo on the chart it was sent to.
IDK, Robyn's Back!!!🥂

I'm surprised by the first week numbers, expected worse debut and numbers. I'm scared about second week now lol but at least she killed it first week.

I bought the album off iTunes and amazon music.
Do my streams count if it's in my library and downloaded?

From what they said you have to stream the album from Apple Music and not your Library cause it wouldn't count.
that's so stupid. Lol

BM didn't chart the billboard top 100 singles

So booking top 10 of hot 200 albums is a BOOK

Adore BM but in the "popular" sense of the word it wasn't a hit

Yeah I know a lot of people who think the song is a flop b/c typically Brandy does have a Hot 100 entering placement & don't really hear it much or want to put it on their playlists... this is why she needs to be strategic on next singles b/c she needs to keep up the playlist placements (i.e Rather Be, No Manana and Say Something)

Y'all need to relax on the chart watching...literally nobody cares except online stans :dead: Literally none of my friends can tell you about the chart success of any artist...not even the ones they like hdndndnd
They're great for bragging, but pretty irrelevant.
Success is defined by visibility nowadays TBH.
For example...in the eyes of the GP, Chloe x Halle are killing it right now, but Bran had a bigger debut than them. This mess doesn't matter lol

I thought chloe and Halle would have way bigger first week sales. Considering their visibility and Brandy being a veteran and having sales equivalent to theirs is great!'

This just shows if Brandy had a proper machine, she will be a problem! Respected ass girl

Agree 100%. Hopefully she's working on putting together performances. Being in quarantine is no excuse for not performing. She can make a deal with another company like Billboard or iHeartRadio to stream a concert and give acoustic/acapella performances on her own social media. Talk shows will be coming back soon, so they need to start booking some appearances.
