The song sounded better to me in that initial clip we heard after dc got canceled. It was turned up or something. The final version sounds a bit more muted/sedate? Maybe that's a result of it coming in after Say Something.

And yeah, the retarded line is just an odd choice. I get what she's saying but it's just tacky. I like the song overall but that specific line makes me cringe a bit, and keeps me from sharing it with friends for sure 😂

I actually love this song. I think it's one where her lead vocal really stands out front and center. I love the confidence in her delivery, I think it has some of the best adlibs on the album. And I know it's an unpopular opinion but I love what her rap adds to the "talk yo shit" vibe of the song.
