And if Brandy says B7 is more personal than Afro, then that's what it is. She literally wrote B7 how would the songs on Afro even be more personal? B7 is fake personal. She's writing about mental illness and using it as metaphors without truly experiencing it. We all know how Bran can put on that fake sincere front, and some of the songs on this album give me that. But that's just my opinion so you can have yours and let me have mine See I got the opposite from this album. This one feels more authentic than all of her previous. While her usage of mental illness is questionable, I can relate to a lot of what she's singing about. The album isn't without its flaws. There are several things I wish they had done differently, but there's a lot that I love. I'm all for her continuing in this direction.

Quote from: Lee on August 16, 2020, 11:50:11 PMB7 vocals >>> Two Eleven. EASILY.b7 wasn't about vocals tho. It's a vibey album. Same with Afro, even tho I think she did more vocally on b7 than that album too.I'm honestly not hearing the "no vocal moments" mess. She shat on every song IMO
Quote from: Bigmacthawoppa on August 17, 2020, 08:47:54 AMShe denounced being Borderline or Bipolar in one of her interviews. I'm saying it's inauthentic to use those terms as metaphors for her relationships if she hasn't lived with the diagnosis. Many people struggle with depression or mental stability. It is not the same as having a clinically diagnosed disorder.

Even that 2016-2018 season was a CLEAR indicator.

She confirmed that she was NOT bipolar.

You cannot possibly be comparing the vocals on b7 to anything Monica related
