b7

Let's chat and switch it up a bit.

What're u impressed by and what has grown on you, if anything?

:ohwow:

The opening keys and drama for "Saving all my love" slays me every time. It feels cinematic

Elements of that opening remind me of this opening to the Shock Value album

I love Unconditionals Oceans all the way up to No Tomorrow

+ I love the spacey vibe of Oceans
+ I love everything about Rather Be, the beat, the tone, the beat switch and the yeah, yeahs at the end
+ Lucid is so abstract and trippy and I love it
+ Border I love the funeral sound and emoting in her voice
+ No Tomorrow grew on me so much b/c I looped that IG clip a lot and expected a different song but it's such a feel good now

Hatsumomo

I really love "Lucid Dreams". It's probably her most honest, saddest song for me since Should I Go .. just as beautiful and heart wrenching. When that beat kicks in ..ghhjjjddddii

Also "Say Something" really resonates with me for some reason. It sounds like something Alicia Keys would've wrote and produced for her. And the lyrics are very bold and clever.

I like that run she does "Fear is my religion NEVER down" that way she sings "down" gives me Human vibes. - Unconditional Oceans

Le Champ

I love how many different tones she used on the album.
I love how it's like listening to a book.
I love how Queen came back after 8 eight years and abandoned the commercial mess and created her own lane.

Bigmacthawoppa

The bridge of Unconditional slays the fuck out of me. I never make it through without replaying it.

SAML is a VIBE and has really grown on me a lot since the release.

Lucid gives me Aretha down and I love the weird outro vocals .

Say Something is growing on me more too and reminds me a bit of Stevie.

I love how it sounds like nothing else out there right now.

Tracks 1-10, back to back :flamebroiled:

I like the album overall.
I like that she did it her way.
I like that they didn't use the normal song structure.
I like that she isn't belting a lot.
I like how comfortable she seems in who she is as an artist and what she brings that nobody else does.
I like the fact that she didn't let the fact that a certain big name singer was releasing something on the same day scare her into changing her release date.
I like the honesty and sincerity of the topics she is singing about.
I like that it's a solid body of work.
I like that the sequence of the songs actually make sense.

Ulysses

I love that she was herself through the whole damn thing. 100% BRAN

I honestly like most of it

I only dislike Saving All My Love, High Heels and I Am More. I can tolerate I Am More & High Heels now though. Everything else is at least OK.

I Love Rather and Borderline. Unconditional Oceans is WEIRD but I use that as well.

I just got into Lucid randomly... it's been LASHING my back recently

Stunna Gor’

I like the cohesiveness the most. The smooth transitions from track to track.

Luxury

Luicid has had it's claws in me since the first listen and it hasn't let up
Oddly enough it was Borderline that had to somewhat grow on me. I think it was the hype about it being "the one" before the album came out. I just didn't see it. Once I let all that go, it has become one of my favs. I can't stop playing and singing it. I think I described the interludes as feeling like interruptions when I first listened. My mind has changed on that. The first half of this album is superb to me.

Rimshot

I love Rather Be.
I like Lucid Dreams.
Those songs are where the unusual structures worked for me.
3:39 in Borderline.
That final minute breakdown chorus in No Tomorrow is really nice.
The piano in Unconditional Oceans helps it pop a bit.
