LMao it's kinda hard for me to explain because I haven't listen to a lot of those type artists but the only way I can sum it up is FREE. Not being tied down to just one sound or genre. That's what I believe she was going for.

Atmospheric rnb.  Atleast the first half of the album.  It sort of sounded she was suspended in air and floating.
Now the second half of the album has a totally different feel to it.  It was more of a contemporary-ish style.

Ooh I like that description, Atmospheric R&B. It does describe the first 8 songs really well. Abstract R&B too. I was thinking that it's also kind of intentionally LoFi sounding (or at least that's what I tell myself so I don't kill Pamper). That would contribute to that atmospheric feel for sure.

There was House & Bass Music .. now there is also Future House and Future Bass .... to me this is Future R&B

I'm curious, since I know you have a discerning ear, what do you think of the production? You notice the mixing issues or nah? You think it's comparable to her past work?

Love b7 but even I can say that whoever mixed the album needs to be STONED
I made a lil playlist of her music and included some songs from b7 and the difference in quality is too obvious.
It's definitely #7 in her catalog for mixing lol

yes and i love the way the album is mixed

Brandy's ear is exceptional lmao if you don't think this album is mixed precisely how she wants it to be mixed than you'd be wrong IMO. 


It may not be someone's preference, but it's all intentional. There's a difference.  There ain't no issue at all IMO

By the way, it was Co-engineered by a guy that literally works with EVERYONE. He would never put his name on some bullshit
