Like Vonc said, I think the greater issue is that she looks a fool. I feel like there would be little outrage if she was slaying.

But whites are perched at these festivals for filth. I also feel like the hypersensitive mess is more of a North American thing, like Jayda or someone said. We seem more pissed than them. :dead:

"It's crazy how West Indians embrace non blacks, but when black Americans embrace the culture, y'all have a heart attack"

Saw this in the Shaderoom comments. Would y'all agree?

it's cultural appropreaction and she looks awful

like she's trying to wear Rihanna's skin.....

anyway nice body stupid girl
Shut the fuck UP no its not  :dead:

and arent you trans?

Nope, I believe that's you, No judgement here tho fam I love em all we're all god's children,

expect for Adele in that outfit and hair ...

why even defend that it's not apropreation

lol troll yeah it is.

How is it appropriation when she isn't profiting off of it or taking it as her own? She's wearing the flag.

She doesn't need to profit or claim it as her own, just her wearing it is a problem

When we wear stuff like this we are called ghetto and many things,

We have to face a lot of disrespect and bull, but when white people do it, People say it's cool and edgy.
That's part of why it's appropriation

There's so many levels to it and it's not simple, Just like if you and your family didn't have the Nigga experience you should have compassion and understanding for those who did and respectfully not use that word
like respecting survivors of the holocaust.

I'm African born in American and I love "Mexican" Food and clothes from Latin culture but you won't ever catch me dressed up in clothes from their culture celebrating, I can still appreciate them and lift them up while representing my own culture and respecting theirs.

I wasn't gonna explain this because sometimes people just don't care to understand or they have fun trolling
Sometimes they don't want too start taking accountability for their behavior and the way they think.

I don't think I've ever seen an example of the latter happening tbh

Hiroshimoto

true Jamaicans are not upset by this they love to see people rep there country and she's in London alot of Caribbean influence

I mean, for it to be genuine cultural appropriation,  she'd have to  remove it from its original context of the Notting Hill Carnival  and repurpose it for her own benefit.

She just looks a fool.
