I think Bent was trying to say that Mo previously had no issue opening her mouth and letting any note come out at any volume.

I think they were both nervous and just showed it differently. Brandy coped with it by being playful and her cute, awkward self. Monica handled it by being more reserved which came off as aloof and detached. And when she was looking away and touching he hair a lot it seemed standoffish, but I think she was just listening to her in-ears. She was way more playful and relaxed after it was over. 

I sympathize with them because I know it was a lot of pressure on them and people responded exactly how I expected them to over analyzing everything. But they did the same to Jill and Erykah.
