IMO it's the song she is most comfortable singing live. I feel like it started during the Human era I think when the track stopped playing and she sang that acapella and the crowd went off. I don't recall sis really going up for ADC prior to that moment .After that she started singing it acapella at her shows .

This was it!!! And rightfully so she sounds beautiful singing this song and it doesn't even need music or all of the intricate backgrounds . It's just her voice . I get why she loves it

Idk guys...when I think of quintessential Brandy, I think of ADC. Maybe it's based on where you grew up but that's the song I remember the most from Brandy in her prime.

It's probably the song u remember most because it's been pounded into ur head. Didn't like almost every other single do better except for maybe UDKM?

! Yup. The way she sang the bridge here was incredible. I also acknowledge that it may be because we follow her so closely, a lot of us give a  when she centers a performance around this song.

Just my lil theory. She claims it's in "her register" and perfect for her voice . I personally feel like SITTIN should be her go to old school hit .. it's so iconic!

I agree with what u said but it's this too. It's in the perfect spot for her voice and doesn't require her to push too much,  reach to high,  etc.  If she chooses to color it up then she can but she doesn't have to.  With that said,  it's a pretty lackluster song and I wouldn't be mad at her choosing another song. I like ADC but not enough for it to be like some staple song for her

Its not lackluster, its ICONIC and well written and easily one of the most adjustable Brandy songs to listen to for the general public because her voice and tone is at the forefront. I'm so tired of her performing that song though and I def get what you mean...she acts like that's her greatest song or only hit half the time. I just hope she performs it with a live band and its more stripped and natural vs all that extra funk she be putting on it.

Almost doesn't count is a great song! But us as stans we watch every live performance( I try to lol) and we know her set by heart so it's like .. come on you have so many gems why are you stuck on this song!! But the average listener most likely isn't tuned in to Brandys performances if it's not on a main stage like an award show so it could be a treat for them .
