I voted but only because I didn't wasn't Trump and racist America to win. Biden winning doesn't move me and I don't feel particularly accomplished for America. Maybe it's selfish because either way, none of it really changes my day to day.
I hope what everyone's learned the most from this election is that the president, for the most part, won't really change many day-to-day activities for the average person and it's wayyy more important to make moves on local levels.

The Trump administration, however, has fed so many false narratives, hatred, and violence over the past few years that we need someone safe like Biden and I think it's a perfect setup for Harris.

yea I definitely agree this is just a small step in the right direction. Joe is very MEH but he won all the democratic primaries and doesnt seem to be full of hatred & racism so  :letsmessfag:

That's what I've been saying. Nobody's really happy for Joe. The congratulations are for Kamala.

and thats yall problem

it aint about being happy for joe. its about being happy for US. having a president thats gon appoint ppl that have experience, deal wit climate change, ease racial tensions. these things DO indeed effect our everyday life. having somebody in office that you wanna be homies with (i.e. obama) is an added bonus but not what is necessary for the job. we got spoiled but we need to focus on what matters.

Biden served Trump on a silver platter

Right having someone fit to do the job was my biggest concern! Some things weren't effecting me personally, but when I vote I always vote on how it will impact my demographic and the majority of the population overall. I voted for Warren in the primary, but this was not a regular election where we have 2 sane candidates just imagine if he won a second term with control of the senate and a 6/3 majority on the Supreme Court. With that amount of partisan control most of us on this board would feel some type of impact of legislation pertaining to our race, sex, sexual orientation, etc. Also with no nation wide plan for the Corona virus it would've touched us all eventually with losing a loved one. I try to look at the big picture when it comes to national contests, even though local elections will have the most immediate impact.
