The CEO could make it easier for the police to get info on the guy she was on the date with, instead of having to wait through a long legal process. He can also have the guy blocked from using the app and doing this to someone else.

Her first mistake was riding with him. Always best to bring your own transportation if possible.

Why is she tagging the CEO and the APP? While the situation is horrible, there are many steps she failed to take to protect herself.  I went to Hinge's website and they have a list of safety tips, many of which she obviously ignored.

Don't Rush
Take your time and get to know the other person before agreeing to meet or chat off Hinge.
Meet in Public and Stay in Public
Tell Friends and Family About Your Plans
Be in Control of Your Transportation

What he did is awful, but she allowed herself to be the perfect victim. She should put more effort into explaining the precautions she should have taken that she failed to if she really want to keep women safe. Because this could happen with a guy you meet anywhere.

her tagging him doesnt change the legal process they would have to go through in order to get his info that is protected by law

again she need to press charges and let the cops --the ones who can lawfully get that info-- handle it

and tbh she's seen his face, has his contact info, and knows what kinda mess he drives so im not even really seeing the necessity

who actually ever reads the safety tips section? stop shaming the victim.

also, is it more likely to die on a date with someone from a dating app, than it is to die on a "regular" date? i dunno.
