This show is so boring. The bad wigs, bad English and the bad business idea--2 million dollars to bring it up to code and then they still can only lease it-- this doesn't need a second season.
They introduced really nice ideas in the first episode and also presented themselves as bosses.
However, during the show there are things that just cheapened everything:
-This one girl who keeps calling her man Zaddy and he is actually the investor in the company.
-The fight at the meeting about the real estate plan. They don't want that type of energy.. if your goal is to represent the city that's not it.
-Bringing that conservative white friend into a lunch for black women to have an 'educational moment'. It was so staged because they wanted to teach her something, use her as a symbol but she felt attacked instead of 'impressed' by glam and business plans. It shows the dentist friend doesn't have these types of talks with her on a regular basis. She didn't have much knowledge about white privilege at all.
-The fashion choices and glam that is too forced and unrealistic. It doesn't feel authentic.
-The Karli Red lady who kept bragging about this guy wanting a baby from her for a million dollars but let's be honest her voice and mannerisms are so cringe.
-The storyline about chosing business over a man. It proves she doesn't do business on a regular basis. The husband was not on board and seemed blindsighted.
