I think ppl are just surprised because this has not ever had to happen to a president before but being real
these social media sites have been having to put disclaimers under all his posts for months now since the election night
if they wanted to censor him they could've BEEN done this. They let him say what he wanted until now that the crackers got out of hand
and its not just him they banned Tomi Lahren & others who are pushing his same rhetoric

but i guess it makes sense.

regardless of how messy he was before, he was still the president of the US at the end of the day
and twitter is a huge platform for communication. if something were to happen where people needed to be informed, it would be useful for the POTUS to have that account open and ready to go with updates direct from the white house.

but now, he's stepping down.

no sense of using all those resources they have to monitor his troll account and he's not even the POTUS anymore
can u imagine managing/reviewing all those REPORTS coming in and mess.
