I was with mo'nique til she started calling people slaves and mess .

She's always spoke out about racial inequality from her days at the apollo

but the Netflix tea really showed a different side of her - and how nasty she can get when ppl don't see where she's coming from , no matter how much she tried to disguise it with a "oooh hey sugar dumpling! " tea.

She started getting super disrespectful and condescending .
!!!!! :kii:

Amazing

Ralf, I don't agree with u, ok?  I don't think Monique and her "Pay me MORE" plight had anything to do with Netflix including those sections and definitely not producing,  backing, and funding black materiel because there was an ABUNDANCE of it before. White people were in an uproar when they got wind of Dear White People coming to Netflix but that didn't deter them from proceeding. Ava Duvernay literally did an interview where she said they were THROWING her money to do her 13th documentary. Netflix has shown themselves inclusive in that way.  Do i think things are fair across the board?  Absolutely not.  Do i think they offered  Monique less because she's black?  ABSOLUTELY not.  They didn't value her that much and that's their right.......... and apparently no one else does either,  that's why her ass is outta work

Mo'nique toured every single damn TV show and radio outlet calling Netflix out. Do think Netflix did NOTHING to mitigate the damage done.

Also if you look at the timeline to when these contracts were signed and when Mo'nique was touring you would see a clear correlation.

Any lawyer worth a damn would have used the Monique fiasco to their clients advantage.

Amazing

If this ain't DAMAGE I don't know what is.  :feelinmyself:
