They just need a bit more lighting and editing
Juergen Teller has made a living from this kind of photography. Twitter doesn't like it but the man got so many clients it is crazy.
I am sure it is supposed to look random and like a snapshot
doesn't make it any less bad  :dead:

If our faves did this they would get dragged. Please

True but it's another example of people letting shit slide when it's white and mainstream

klappa.

eh.... i think that convo is a lil different when it comes to art because its so objective.

now if we were talking lana del rey vocals, then yea. clear cut white mediocrity.

I prefer a more polished esthetic but Juergen Teller has been around for a long time. He doesn't want to photograph celebs like celebs. He is more conceptual than people on twitter think. So when I look at it in the context of art and a big mag like W I see it is a conscious choice and can respect it.

I prefer the shots he did with flash and less background noise. There is just too much going on in these shots. And i don't know some of these celebs and when they are not models it does look like random people..

I don't think he will lose sleep over the comments, this might just be the reaction he wants.

Anyways let him work for more fashion brands like Balenciaga with models, better styling, makeup please and better weather >>>
