QuoteAni-Stohini/Unami is a small Native American tribe located in seven counties of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and one county of North Carolina.

Members of the Ani-Stohini/Unami live in Carroll, Grayson, Wythe, Washington, Smyth, Patrick, and Floyd Counties in Virginia and Surry and Alleghany Counties in North Carolina.[3] The Tla Wilano Indian language has almost died out due to recent deaths of five tribal elders

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

And that wasn't the picture you showed us babes

Nice try

AND you show different ancestors each time!

The Indian ppl didn't show up until you got interested in Natives

Before then you had shown us ppl of Melugeon, Dominican and Samoan ancestors

Those were the pics I said were fake.
These ppl in your sig are BLACK ppl

If we gone tell it, we gone tell it right
bbfbnnnnnnnnnnn

No you specifically said the woman in my sig wasn't my ancestor . And was a random Indian from Google.

I remember luv. And you're not the only one who said that .

You have issues to work out. But stop projecting them onto me.

But now you descend from ancient elders ... that lived on a sacred mountain

let's go back to 2018.

ive ALWAYS known where my grandfathers family came from.
and was always very specific. blue ridge mountains of carroll county VA.

it was a matter of finding my tribe.

Looking forward to making a trip there very soon.

It was hard to find them because they are SO small

All I knew is that the genealogist records pointed to Carroll County VA as the origin of my Native ancestor

but I finally connected with them and they confirmed that we are indeed family.

theyre all still there in that same area .

They asked for my family records and surnames and used that to identify me as a descendant.

I'm very happy to connect with them. ☺️❤️

It was so hard to find them because there is so little info about our tribe on the net. That's what I am helping with now.

Bentley. HARRIS!

You never gave us the percentage

It's not a huge deal, we just wanna know

What percentage is you're great great grandmother?

Then you gotta divide that number by 8

If the tribe didn't ask that question about "percentages" while identifying me , certainly you have no right to ask it.... In an attempt to dissect my identity.

I'm an African American with Native roots who chooses to connect with my Native heritage and community. I have active tribal affiliation . Period.

There's a reason why Elizabeth Warren got in even more hot water with NAs after presenting her 1/1024th "probable" Native DNA results. And it's not because it was so small. It was the fact that she was using a very racist measure of "blood" to claim ties to a tribe.

If you I came to any tribe with a DNA report saying you was 50% NA, they'd say OK. That's nice . But Who's your family and what are their names . How does this DNA report connect you directly to our tribe? :uhh:

Honestly, any member here with an operational pair of eyes can deduce that you have inner issues from your posts - ones that you refuse to greet with honesty and humility.

I've witness you attach a collage of random people to your signature to propel dialogue with members here. There's a lot you need to cycle through before engaging in the finger pointing game. You're lonely and I want you understand that your behavior reflects that.

Just as if a Black person came to me and asked the closed ended question of , "Are you Black? Yes or no."

The answer would be yes , and there'd be no need for me to go into any other details of "yea ... BUT also a little ...."cuz that's the only thing they wanted to know

Same thing kinda goes with Native identification. The tribe isn't gonna wanna hear some long winded story . They're gonna get straight down to the facts about it. Yes or no.

You're weird and clearly have self hate issues.
You are projecting and in this free time I'm currently in, I refuse to allow you to do it.

The inner hate you wade in is alarming.

Like that member mentioned, at one point you were Ethiopian (until Iman called you out),  Latin, Melungeon and at another, Haitian.

You desire to be anything other than the works of what your mother and father produced.

Did you make that conclusion before or after you took time and energy to climb behind an alt account and address me?

Hun I'm paid, living well, and looking good. Get you some blessings in your life.

I promise once you do that you'll be less affected by whatever I have going on over here.

The thing is, I've never had an account here. I've enjoyed this board for years. I don't know who you think I am but I'm not whomever you think I am.

I do know that you are a very lonely soul. I also believe your family rejects you and this pressures you to find love, attention and acceptance from outsiders.

Reflect on your behavior in this very thread. If in fact you were all of those things listed, would you be in here defending your identity, heritage and happiness?

You need psychiatric support.
