I like his voice, this song reminds me of a John Legend song..but it doesn't have the power of Ordinary people. It's more like Love Again part 2.

His verses are pretty laid back and minimalistic, I feel like Bran could have saved the bg vocals for the chorus. It just makes everything sounds rushed. I don't know who produced it but I miss the magic of songs like What are we doing and Optimistic. Even back in the day she would record Magic and the background vocals made sense. Maybe she just walks into the session to do someone a favor, maybe she needs a process of recording a full EP with a top notch producer who is not enabling her. Sure she's got an amazing voice and everyone is happy she is on the track, but people like Darkchild and Timbaland are used to it and they push people to do more.

By the way, this song is nice..(especially for listeners who are not FM and Afro addicts?) She keeps her name out there and I'm not mad at that. It's just deja Vu to me, but I'm sure other people will love it.

I really want Brandy to go back to using her upper range more often too. If she's gonna do another collab with a male artist, I need a Quickly lashing. A song written in a key where she aint gotta be reaching down in the depths of her low range to sing in a male key.
