Sor' but black men don't benefit from racial stereotypes either, gay straight dark or light
the issue isn't that stereotypes are only insulting and offensive, is that fact that they are also limiting.
and this isn't giving a a bit of "whataboutism!" either

In terms of intraracial desirability they definitely do.
benefit in what way?

Benefit isn't the right word but within the black community dark skinned men aren't viewed as undesirable in the same way that dark skinned black women are. Look at all the dark skinned men who get light skinned women. You hardly ever see a light skinned man with a dark woman  :plzstop:
Yh I get that, but it isn't a "benefit" as the OP was implying it was

I think his main point is that dark black women have it the worst

Yh I get that too, what I didn't agree was that black men benefit from their stereotypes unlike black women.
I don't think anyone benefits from a stereotype.

Like how the fuck is being reduced to your physical traits a benefit? :dead:
ummm look around.

ever heard of the media? music industry? hollywood? modeling?

where your physical traits can work FOR or AGAINST you depending on what's considered to be desirable?

it's kinda a thing.

and it doesn't stop there. it goes for romance too.

Project started: 2014 Wrapped up: 2024

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated that only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants exist worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

yea and I definitely agree with the approach you say is best. Sometimes people seriously just don't know  :dead:

I have my thoughts on the whole underprotected, undervalued, disrespected thing
I mean ... it's kinda anti ....

cause i mean yes it happens, you can't deny what's happened to black women, but there's a whole other side of the coin they don't talk about

which is how the black woman was actually quite respected within the black community :dead:
think of all the older black women who were amazing and everybody looked up to.
aren't those the kinda women Tyler Perry used to hang out with, so he put them in his shows?
the black grandmother is a matriarch like no other, because they knew what was happening, how the culture was being broken.

but now we have this generation of ATL Freaknik attendees trying to tell us to respect them more?
no girl, you should've been in the house when grandma told you to be, when your mom was telling you to stop being fast you should've been at bible study instead of running them streets

and also the fact black women don't like to admit, they wanted the attention of white men and wanted to compete with white women. I think it's crazy that black women blame black men for that, when it was happening to them just the same. "oh you dusty! look at your nappy hair! look at yo clothes dusty nigga!" . Everybody essentially is guilty because everybody was affected by it. So then the finger pointing starts and black women just get louder and louder.

and they forget that they will look down on a black man for "not having shit, ain't ever gone have shit just like yo daddy!" ... but pull up and work for Parker who is only the CEO because his granddaddy had slaves.

what's the one thing ppl always say about white women as a whole. They dumb asses is gonna stick to a white man and support. That's why trump almost won AGAIN. So .... Black women definitely don't do that, and they don't understand a black man ISN'T gonna have what you're looking for because he's BUILDING what you're looking for, that's what Kevin Samuels is trying to tell them. Now they'll be dumb over a nigga, but they not gonna support the black men out here trying. Am I right?

it's like .. pick a side. either we in this together or not
if we gone hashtag #protectblackwomen
I better see #supportblackmen right behind that bih

but yeah bent some people legit don't know.

so u cant always be on some "OH MUH GAH! U COLORIST! U TEXTURIST!!!! :fuming: " right owt the gate

someone's wall will immediately go up and you'll end up arguing with them instead of conversing. which means no results

if you really care and want to get thru to them you have to MASSAGE it a bit.
get them to the point where they're questioning themselves a bit. like wait...why DO i say that?  :uhh:

Like I said, I know how things work.
:omgwatshappening:
People make money from being objectified all the time.

My thing was that I don't think Consuela wants to be called 'caliente' by her white boss when she's just tryna do some clean'

Being objectified might have benefited J-Lo but it's not just J-Lo that's affected by said objectification.
