People love to point out 'fas for this mess, but I'm sure if people cared enough to try and find similarities in  many commercial artists' mess, they'd find inspirations hidden in a lot of places as well. She's not trying to be a weird zany indie artist, and I don't think she ever claimed to be 100% original. She cites her influences quite often.

Artistry is all about blending the old with the new. It kills me how people go and dig up mess to try and embarrass her just because she's 'fas. Leave her alone and get in formation :udontlookok:

!!!!!

and tbh and to keep it all the way funky...
I get more of "Blade" refrence from Chris' "Wall To Wall" than I get "Thriller"

She didn't steal it. She was inspired by it.

she seems to always be "inspired" by something...
all artists are

constantly tho?
why is it a constant recurring thing with her?

how many other artist have gotten called out as much as she has been?
from her videos to her stage performances...
you're gonna have to specify all the times she's been called out, but even then, no idea is original anymore. And the bigger the artist, the more attention will get drawn to them for being so experimental. They said Gaga was a carbon copy of Madonna. They said Madonna copied plenty artisrs too. It's the nature of art. & beyonce's execution is nearly always flawless.

Mel.

and lolll artistry is not all about "blending old with new"

I think true artistry is creating your OWN shit
and not doing something that's been done before...that's artistry to me.
I mean...anyone can re-create a video from the past, but is that really "artistry"?

SOO many artist reference other work, today

Mel.

I mean...
was Michael, Janet, Prince, Madonna, etc...

re-doing things from the past? no....they created their own things and were innovative
which people of today are re-creating...that's artistry.
not copying an entire video and passing it off as your own

Mel.

lolll
do we really have to sit here and list all the times she's copied someone?
you know she's a serial stealer...so let's not even go down that road

google is your friend. there is proof upon proof
from songs to videos to performances....

she even got called out from the original artists themselves for it

lmaoooooo
oh gorl....

it's the same damn video. Beyonce just added some bells and whistles
for production value...which the originators most likely didn't have the coin to do

that doesnt take away from the fact, that its the same video luv

Yes! :uhh:

Besides I think it's pretty clear that at this point no one cares, cause she still gets critical acclaim after people have been calling her out for allegedly stealing ideas since 2003. So what's the point?

COD.

f
nothing is new. everyone takes from something. If anything this is more of an homage and even then that's kind of a reach.
:melmel:

I don't see the issue.
