Yeah me and my friend say that Bey definitely doesn't sing soulful like she used too, but I also appreciate the operatic vocal things she does....but she still can have soul because 4 is my favorite album by her!

But like I said I guess looking back she was definitely more human and relatable during her first two solo projects

Ray, I don't think it's just about sadness. I like some of her music, but I don't connect with her voice a lot of the time like I do with others. Now, I do bop to a few of her tracks, but so few of them move me. Even when she sang "At Last" for POTUS and FLOTUS. She sounded nice, but I felt nothing from her vocal.
