In my opinion Saving All My Love is equivalent to Who I Am on Afro. It's the perfect album opener!!! I absolutely adore it!
It's not for everybody
I LOVE it tho and it's one of my favorites. Tells more than one story (as most songs on the album do)
Her being targeted by the media, haters and "fans" alike.
A target god damn .. can we let me live? :uhh: Just cuz i can sing for ya :uhh:
So many metaphors and sickening vocal moments down to her talking her shit. Yea I'm something like the GOAT, faggot (Whitney) but i ain't Saving all my Love LMAO
Best opening track to start a Brandy album since "Who i am" IMO. BUT i understand why some don't use of course
I'd never disparage those that disagree. My favorite Brandy album right now, quite easily

No need to force yourself to get into a song, Kings and Queens! Maybe one day it'll hit you, and maybe it won't.
I find that songs have to surprise me if i initially can't get in or i just never like it. No big deal
Love the song but the clearer version was better.....
I know I've made this post a thousand times but it's for members that may have missed it. And you can understand the song and still not like it - i know!
Anyway, some lines are playful like the "sounds like Brandy candy" line but she's basically saying "yeah i know i sound amazing but that doesn't give ya'll fre reign to target me as if I'm not human. You AND any other nigga that tries to gain my trust", pretty much.
She goes from addressing how long she's been gone and why (mental health, relationship woes, etc)
Sorry for my tardy is also for the fans after such a long hiatus. There are double and triple entendres all throughout this album. Brandy, Lashawn and Kaydence did their fuckin THING on b7

She addresses her attitude and hot headed nature on the very first two songs on this album along with her trust issues. Her most honest album to date. By far IMO

I feel the same way. I understand it's honest and personal, but that's not why I like songs. I don't have a strong enough connection to Brandy the person, to get-in on the basis of the song being personal. So that's not enough for me. So then I'm considering the lyrics from an angle other than the meaning they give. And the "illustrated, agitated, elevated, demonstrated" lyrics remind me of being 14 on hip hop message board trying to "key style" raps and everybody did the whole "I'm a lyrical critical cynical individual" thing. Sorry for the tardy. Candaaaay. Like a rock without the boat. Again it's kinda corny to me. There are some good harmony moments in it, but that's not enough to make me see the song like some of you do. The structure is off, on purpose and I understand why and I understand that's the point of sounding all over the place, but that doesn't make a pretty song. And I like pretty songs. Melodic songs. I shouldn't have to try to find the melody. Maybe one day I will feel differently when I hear it and the personal aspect is something I can relate to and speaks to my spirit but my brain always says NO, next.

as a non fan i can see why some didnt really use it cause its very one note throughout the whole album IMO
i havent listened to the album in a while
The production is dope as are the lyrics but the beat is kinda underwhelming.
The worst song on B7 for me. SHE sounds good and I like her message but I'm not a fan of the lyrics or the production. It just kinda.. DRONES on.

Who I Am is a masterpiece. No comparison.
I love the song myself, and understood the message. Have to agree the clearer version was better but get why she choosen this version. As For the beats, those are my only grips. All the songs got the same beat in a sense. Camper isn't versatile enough to get an whole album.

The beat and production lack soul. Her vocals and the vibes are great but it just clashes as if a fan put the acapella on a fruity loop beat. A lot of his beats also lack real bass. The timing is off as well. It's not Brandy's fault.

Ugh, one of my favorite parts of the song. I dnt think she was referring to herself as "crazy" in this part lmaooooo but moreso that she's always in her head (overthinking/second-guessing) and it has sabotaged herself and her career but her greatest self, ability to trust her inner God and live freely is on the other side of the rainbow...she just has to reach it.

WHY are you on this board if you aren't connected with Bran on a personal level at this point in her career?
She says aggravated, agitated....dnt make it more than what its givin lol
I'm on this board because I like Brandys music bitch and that's absolutely not up for debate. And I have connections with the people on it. Anything else?

That's cute, calling me out my name L00NEY TUNZ. I just dnt see how ur on a Bran board and dnt have a connection with her outside of her music. Guess that makes ur a regular fan and irrelevant critic.

I absolutely love this song. I can't start the album without playing SAML. When I first heard it, I'll admit I felt the same way ( corny , lyrics sound amateur, sounds out of pocket , I liked the demo vocals more etc) but with B7 as a whole I honestly just had to let go of the previous Brandy and just receive what she was giving us. The lyrics are all over the place but very powerful when you truly listen and remove expectation of what Brandy should sound like.
she's really bringing us inside of her head I feel and sharing some of her deepest thoughts if you truly listen. BUT I can understand just not being able to get into it like that, and there is nothing wrong with that.
I feel like a Brandy was truly a mess at one point , broken hearted , high , probably on meds , Bi polar ,low self esteem , suicidal , insecure etc etc and she's telling us all of that in a very non traditional, poetic way throughout this song and album.

The worst song on B7 for me. SHE sounds good and I like her message but I'm not a fan of the lyrics or the production. It just kinda.. DRONES on.
unconditional oceans - I Am More is kind of an ICONIC streak of alber tracks tho. :loose2when:
also last time I checked Say Something had the most views of the album tracks, but that was a minute ago so things could have changed
I AM More sounds CHEAP as hell...are you serious. I like the song but let's not act like it don't sound very amateurish
it does and so does SAML tbh
At least I am more is catchy
I knew there was something good about SAML at first listen but it sounds a little jumbled with the layering and you can't tell what she's saying. Once I read the lyrics, the song>>>
