I know in the black community, mental health is seen as 'weakness'
It doesn't adhere to our communities values of pride and strength
We'd rather rely on the church and other religious/spiritual institutions rather than seeing someone about our mental health
Should black people get free mental health care and therapy?
With the consistent negative images and sublimals messages being shown on the media, textbooks, social conditioning, forced culture assimilation, miseducation, modern attitudes towards blacks, it's definitely having an effect on how we see ourselves, other people, it shapes our attitudes towards education, employment, definitely has a bearing on our social economic status.
The Jewish folk recieved, their repairations, apology, and more importantly a way of healing, strengthening their self esteem and pride within themselves, their cultures and their communities, and look how self empowered and they are

At this point, it's up to us to educate ourselves far beyond what they (white/mainstream America) teaches us in schools and form our own wealth. We live our lives far too worried about what whites think of us; they are not that special.
We don't need reparations, we don't need to continue to wait with bated breath for an apology. It's time for us to drop OUR excuses, unite and strengthen ourselves, and equipped the next generation to surpass us when it comes to education, finance, and social responsibility. It's pointless, because niggas can't stop having lightskin vs. darkskin debates. Black is fucking black.
