well i think she proved that she wasnt "scared" last era with the surprise release
this time we knew it was coming
so she proved shes not scared to warn the gorls when her new mess is dropping

you'd have to expound on what you mean by that

"Prove" in terms of people taking her seriously as the artist she clearly is? Well, i hope so.  some of the songs are incredible but i dont think Ballads are a strong point, like ...  at all. Really just wanted even more great SONGS. Like 3-4 more and I'd be a happy fan

Im more than happy with the visuals and the few songs i like, but im slightly disappointed in the 12 track rollout

Yeah, Like she been in the game for 20 years just got another #1 album and is still pushing over 400k 1st week and is looking to be more critically acclaimed than Self Titled.

Like can the gorl just release albums from now on without all the damns pressure?

I feel like she kinda earned it.

I've never used a bey album in it's entirety. She makes good Pop music and performs better than anyone on the planet, that's where it stops for me. So this album did nothing to change that. I am, however, loving the pro-Black tea she's giving though, more prominent Black artist need to follow suit.

beyonce hasn't had to prove herself since album 3. dc was a great launching pad, but as a solo act she had to at least have 3 successful errors to be upper echelon. especially when you look at the artists that were out in those first 3 errors. now she's already in veteran/legend status. she's not a young girl. she is what janet was around 2001 & 2004 now. the difference is she's making better moves to keep her light shinning in this climate to have a lasting career and admiration like other legends that are still praised to this day.

that would be nice just because I'd love her to put out great visuals (thats always been her issue)

but im not concerned with her album being taken seriously at all lol not one bit. Brandy, musically >

and now they din' fucked up and gave her full control? oh its time for some mess and awards

I didn't mean YOUR musical expectations from her. She kinda already gets that from the countless Grams and critical acclaim.  :-P

I'm talking more

will her next album go #1? is she over? did (insert name) replace her? will she sell as much?

And tbh, while I appreciate her stepping out of her comfort zone and doing something different from what she usually does, I'm not really here for this kind of music from her.

I hope her next is a 'return to roots' type thing.
Title: Re: Is this Beys last prove yourself alberm?
Post by: SouravMay on April 25, 2016, 06:54:09 PM
tbh I need club bangers and weave swanging back. I cannot stand Beyonc? ballads, or Beyonc? pop song, sans a few exceptions like the 4 ballads, and "Sweet Dream", her LANE is B'Day, "Flawless" and fckn "Naughty Gorl".

they are honestly DISGUSTING. The bitch cannot fckn emote on a slow ballad... I don't know why, but it sounds dry and stale, and she has no soul...

But Rolling Stone kinda just gave the album 5/5 so don't really care hehe

And see this why I think non-stans luv "Sorry" so much. It's closes to the Bey they like/prefer.

I couldn't have ever saw her doing a song like Don't Hurt Yourself a decade ago. As a stan, I needed a song like that. Some evidence of growth and willingness to try different things.

You wanna pop your booch, revisit B'God...

I kinda want a Rock album from ha!

I've never used a bey album in it's entirety. She makes good Pop music and performs better than anyone on the planet, that's where it stops for me. So this album did nothing to change that. I am, however, loving the pro-Black tea she's giving though, more prominent Black artist need to follow suit.
not even B'Day?

I loved B'DAY, it came out the Summer I started going the clubs. So many memories..

..but it hasn't aged well. Do you still listen to it?

B'Day is Beyonce at her best. I'll forever love.

I also feel like B'Day was her most authentic mess.

Normally I would debate some of the things that are being said in here

But Rolling Stone kinda just gave the album 5/5 so don't really care hehe

she deserves 5/5.  It's not some shitty piece of work lol I think ur misunderstanding some of the comments

There's certain things I'll just never use coming from her but that's what artistry is all about. Folks aren't gonna love every aspect about your work and what you choose to share, but that doesn't take away from what she did and the level she's doing it at. I can definitey appreciate the work ethic, creativity, quality visuals and all

until she releases an album without the visuals to distract
she'll still have to prove herself
she has not released not one masterpiece yet

y'all take statements too deep and way off...

I have to say I wouldn't have enjoyed the album as much if the visuals weren't there to help. If I heard that album, just the songs alone... It would have been a different experience.

Music videos are needed, but let's not act like she doesn't use the visuals as a crutch, out the gate.

IMO the visuals don't overshadow the music, they compliment it.

Music and Visuals go hand and hand'

What exactly are you trying to say,

All the gorls make music videos Bey just goes the extra miles

More artists should try giving their fans more.

i don't know
i just feel dissatisfied.
I'm thinking i have to be a stan to get the hype over the album itself.

sorry and hold up slay
but I've played them so much now, i wonder if they'll last past summer.

I agree. Visuals are key.
She goes and does more.

But I guess I would like better content. I guess that's it.
