When you record or have someone record you handing out money in the street to post it on social media, what's the goal?
Usually when a celebrity visits a charity, their starpower alone draws and attracts attention to the charity and the cause itself. Or they donate anonymously in undisclosed amounts.
Of course there are some self serving celebs out there but we don't normally see them holding up an iPhone taking vids of themselves giving dollars to Kufi in Uganda

True, but there were LGBT youth I saw on TV in a homeless shelter -- not at their job, or a county fair, but a homeless shelter -- when Lady Gaga visited. I'm pretty sure they didn't sign consent forms before the camera crew bursted in with a surprise that they assumed everyone would enjoy.

I actually wanted to do something like that this year but something came up.
It's really ppl out here that don't have anybody. No close family to call to vent emotions or just tell them it's ok.
It's crazy that American Dream never mentions helping others. Just getting as far as you can.
Everything was my homeboy's idea. It was really awesome because he recently lost his father to an illness and his mother had already passed a few years earlier. This has been a really traumatic year for him and yet he still went out of his way to help others.
It really inspired me. I'm already a wonderful person lolz :tistheseas: but I'm gonna be even better in 2017. New life new me. Monica mess owt.
