It's self serving.
When you record or have someone record you handing out money in the street to post it on social media, what's the goal?
Usually when a celebrity visits a charity, their starpower alone draws and attracts attention to the charity and the cause itself. Or they donate anonymously in undisclosed amounts.
Of course there are some self serving celebs out there but we don't normally see them holding up an iPhone taking vids of themselves giving dollars to Kufi in Uganda
