QuoteAlly Brooke, 23, Normani Kordei, 20, Dinah Jane, 19, and Lauren Jauregui, 20 -- will continue on as a four-piece. Three days later, Epic Records and Syco exercised their option on the pop act, Billboard has confirmed, moving full-steam ahead with a third Fifth Harmony album to be released in 2017.
And success provided the act the leverage to renegotiate what is typically an onerous contract -- signed by the girls as individuals before even stepping foot on the TV stage that would give them their Cowell-constructed shot -- with terms that dictate a length of seven years and assign them to specific companies and affiliates within the Sony Music system. (Syco Entertainment is a joint venture with Sony.)
“They’re in a position to have more creative involvement and really direct where they want their music to go,” the insider offers. “They're a huge name on the Epic roster so it makes sense to keep them there and work on another hit album. While, at the same time it benefits the girls to stay as well and really own the direction they're going in rather than litigate themselves out of a deal.”
5H3 is coming :blessed:
I hope they take this in a more urban direction, now that they have some creative control
Yeak kick the short, fat one out
I keep forgetting how young they actually are
especially Dinah, she seems so much mature for 19
Will they change their name though?
Im ready
They need to up the R&B/Urban mess this time
I read that they have trademarked H4rmony and Fourth Harmony.
They are sooo damn young.

Unfortunately, no. :-/
they should've changed it, it really makes no sense when it's 4 girls

!!! I am trying to find the link. I hope it's true as well. They could use a rebirth after the drama.
It would be stupid to change their name. They built the Fifth Harmony brand already. Changing the name they'd have to start all over from scratch. Anyways, I hope they take the album in a more Urban R&B/Pop Direction. Their biggest hits are featured rappers so definitely the right rappers for the first single is a must. They need to leave Bubblegum and Filler songs off this album.
Working with someone like Lil Uzi and Yachty, someone fresh and current would give them some edge.

They need to wipe the slate clean and re-brand themselves

Changing the name does take away from their accomplishments.
it really wouldn't be an issue....
and tbh I think they need a restart.

They are two albums in with this last album putting them on top. Any executive will tell you that changing the name would be insane.
They should keep the name. I hate it when already established groups change their names.

They'd still have the same fans
they would be perfectly fine
but if they do keep the name, it's fine too
personally I think they should change it, but what will be will be.
Yeah, they should changed their name and kick the dwarf out of the group.
but let it be a lesson for future musicians
never name your group after the number of people in it, so you can avoid something like this

Facts! Especially, girl groups.
Was watching some of their live performances last night and surprisingly they're good. Especially Dinah and Normani. Wish they would get rid of the midget tho. She's always a few seconds behind them and messing up moves.
im rootin for em this times

They are coming for Little Mix spot.
This album is gonna be crucial and I hope they take their time. Even though I don't use Camilia like that, her squeaky mess gave them a distinct sound. They should definitely keep Ally 2nd Lead but let Lauren be the base. Pushing Dinah and Mani to the front would be risky. Dinah gives Bey and no one likes a Bey copy. Mani is good where she's at.

Milla stepped out too soon
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is a good look for them, overall
Wait I thought they were all in their mid to late 20/'s
This will probably be their last album. No sense in changing their name. All they have to do is say the fans are the 5th harmony as corny as that sounds. This better be the last album tho.
Queens.
The Fifth Harmony name can still have meaning. The fans, themselves, could be the fifth harmony to complete their four harmony quartet.

!!! I just thought that :plzstop: but, no, they need to ride this til the wheels fall off. I see at least 2 more albums of hits and moments from these girls.

!!!!!!!! It'd be stupid to change the name..... They're already at a sink or swim point and changing the name would just set them back even more...... But at the same time, they kinda don't have much else to lose. :dead:
I do see them going more urban though... None of them had a true pop appeal except Camilla and now sis is gone. And I kinda see this being their last album. :dead:
Looking at their new pic again........ They're slaying, but they just look so..... incomplete. :dead:

ugh, the way queen MANI has to stoop down due to Ally's dwarfism.
I honestly think this is one group that can stay together and slay. They just negotiated a multi million dollar deal with each singer having the option to record solo albums on Epic/Syco and snatched the rights to the Fifth Harmony name. They also trademarked H4RMONY and Fourth Harmony too.
Camilia is gonna regret leaving.
Keep the name, overseas fans couldn't care less
Damn
No budget for June's diary lol
They aren't known for "Harmony" either
n
Might as well keep their name
