You fall in love who you fall in love with.
Furthermore, other races tend to find black men attractive.

It ain't a coincidence.

Many men of color think dating White means dating up. Like it's some sort of prize or validation. I've seen it too many times. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for an interracial mess if it's based off genuine feelings. If you meet a White guy and y'all just happen to click and fall in love, then I'm all for it.

However, if you set out looking to find a White partner as a goal, then you have issues.

I am pretty sure the richer and more powerful you get the less black people are in your dating pool. I would like to know if these white girl friends are jobless flops or also successful women in the industry.

I see it here in Cali all the time and it's disgusting.

I'm not saying that I've never dated White guys before, because I have, but I didn't go out looking for one. I got asked out and we just hit it off. I've also dated Black, Latino, & Middle Eastern. I just like men.

It's these colored gorls that have "White men/women only" in their profiles that I cannot stand.

Love is love isn't really conducive with a conversation and it kinda dismisses a larger issue.

I didn't say they didn't.
And I find that incredibly stupid for those that do.

But I also would like to acknowledge that black men are desirable, IMO.
And if pussy is coming your way, you're gonna take whatever.

I think some men of color who achieve positions of wealth feel it's necessary to be with a white woman.

No matter how hard they work, their wealth won't give them any intrinsic power; it just gives them access to other people's power.

And this bothers them.

True, irrevocable power is white. It has been for centuries and will continue to be for a long time.

But then again, there are some dudes who just "fall in love" or whatever.

most of these women (and Im not talking about specifically the ones in the op) are not or were not Martha Stewarts and Kelly Ripas before.

How do you explain the white women that have gotten with ballers and rappers? They were no diff from the black girls.
Black women are up there in college getting degrees before everydamnbody.

I mean, we can delve into self hatred and social class and all that junk, but interracial dating isn't the epidemic some people think it is. The majority of black me (the average joes) are married to black women.

I just feel the dating field is extremely broad for black men vs. any other race.
And some insecure black men use that to their advantage.

The way I see it: You fall in love and connect with whoever you connect with. Race shouldn't matter. If a black man falls in love with a white woman or a white man falling love with a black woman and vice versa, it shouldn't matter and shouldn't be an issue. I really don't get why people get so uptight about stuff like this. I mean I've dated guys of different racial and ethnic backgrounds. There are many different forms of connection (mentally emotionally, spiritually, sexually, etc.) that draws two people together. I respect people for being with they're with. It's not my place to judge either. smh

Yea, im sure it's a much bigger conspiracy behind it, Illuminati even. Like who cares about who these people choose to date :dead:
And because they're with white women now, is that supposed to be indicative of every relationship they've ever had? Michael Jordan was married to a black women for about 10+ yrs. Does he need to only date blk women to qualify for some blk award or sumn. Like :dead: with a bit of :uhh:

I think the concern is with men of color who have certain means.

It's definitely not an epidemic, and considering all of the issues we're facing today, it should be the least of anyone's concerns...but it's interesting, and definitely a reflection of white power and how we see it today.

Men of color dating white women, people of color (Asians; Latinos) marginalizing and ostracizing blacks, forbidding their children to date or marry them, all of this is a reflection of white power and what it has done to the world.

I do believe that many younger generations don't think about race the way my parents' generation did, but it still exists. Everywhere.

I'll give an example.

My cousin is married to a white man. Not just a white man, but a white man in the army.
The sense of power and legitimacy her family feels whenever they are with him is palpable.

You can just see it. This in spite of that fact that her family is very wealthy and his is not.
Their wealth doesn't give them any security--apart from material possessions.

It's not my place to judge either. smh

!!!!
let people love who they wanna love, why is this still an issue in 2017?
Im sorry but I'm SHAKING  :plzstop:

Yea, im sure it's a much bigger conspiracy behind it, Illuminati even. Like who cares about who these people choose to date :dead:
And because they're with white women now, is that supposed to be indicative of every relationship they've ever had? Michael Jordan was married to a black women for about 10+ yrs. Does he need to only date blk women to qualify for some blk award or sumn. Like :dead: with a bit of :uhh:

Key & Peele (Peele just made Get Out mind you) are bi-racial
Michael was married to Juanita for YEARS during his basketball career before he got with this girl

I can see the biracial thing being how they grew up. Similar to why the biracial ppl get in a tizzy when a subject like this is brought up-no disrespect.

So you think it's coincidental?
I just think these are bad examples
Kanye & Kim
or Tyrese & his new wife are better examples

Definitely not a coincidence, HERE at least.

Like someone touched on, there's this ideology of "ultimate" success and acceptance for a lot of black men when they wife up a white womuh. Just like how every stereotypical successful black male has to run out and get a Mercedes. :dead: In their minds, having that white woman on their arm is like a sign of conformity to white culture.

But this DEFINITELY doesn't apply to all interracial relationships.

I don't see this for alot of blk people tho.  I think those groups that long for that acceptance from white people are more susceptible to this, like Asians n mess :dead:
Not saying u don't have blk people that don't have that mindset but i don't think it's as prevalent in our group.  Blk people are quicker to sideeye for dating a white person rather than applauding u. Like Jordan Peele just wrote and directed a whole movie (Get Out) on race relations n shit. I don't think him being with a white woman is anything other than that's who tf he's with right now.

I mean, we can delve into self hatred and social class and all that junk, but interracial dating isn't the epidemic some people think it is. The majority of black me (the average joes) are married to black women.

I think it's a lot more pervasive then we think it is tbh. Even with so many Black men dating Black women, is that based on a proximity thing or a genuine love for Blk women. I ask because I see messages about Black women being less than or wanting a biracial or other raced woman from black men daily.

Or even if some Black men are married to Black women I've personally seen them be treated like shit or less than anyway.

I'm just proving a point that I've seen them interact and they were any ordinary couple. Loving each other. I've seen a number of interracial couples interact and it's just like if they were the same race. Many of my friends that I've known since elementary school that are black married either white men or white women. It's all about how you connect with someone. Interpersonal relationships are quite complex especially if you observe them. (Putting on my psychologist hat for a second)

It's definitely something suppressed, maybe not hatred but a feeling inferiority of some sort. And being with that white man or woman makes them feel less of it

And it's even more interesting when ppl will date and have sex with various races but only marry one particular race.

We live in a country that, for years, has embraced only ONE standard of beauty.

Light-skinned, lank-haired women with brown or blond hair and light eyes.
Only NOW, in the last ten-twenty years, have we seen a proliferation of black and brown women on magazine covers and on runways.

When this happens, you have alot of brown and black heterosexual men growing up fantasizing about women who don't belong in their communities, who don't look like them, and for whom there is no access.

Suddenly wealth becomes access.

I also want to point out that there are alot of girls who grow up fantasizing about and fetishizing black men.

Indian girls have been doing it for years.

i will just leave this here

i noticed alot of darker skinned people get hung up in this more than others

sometimes they protest so hard that they just want the antithesis of themselves

interacial dating would be okay if it was completley innocent (which some unions are)
but most of the time there is a deeper rooted reason for seeking them out

and some have environmental factors like if you grew up around whites thats all you really identify with id be shocked to see them with another black but  its harder to judge those kind

but yeah

well

me and kelly were friends in high school

we grew closer

so we decided to get together in protest to others who rejected us

and since we were friends it was cool

but it was a phase for both of us

she likes white guys
and i like black guys so

yea

ours was different
