Blurred Lines
Single Ladies was obviously gonna smash :uhh:
I'm not gonna lie. Eventho' I instantly loved the song. I was sure it was going to flop down. It sounded so strange at the time.
I was scared for my sis

!!!
I loved it but, at the time, it sounded too similar to Get Me Bodied. This is a perfect example of visuals completely shifting and saving the song and took it to another level..

Nope. I remember it was on the radio and internet first. A good week or so before the video premiered..

Yeah when I first heard SL I was soooo disappointed. I just knew that IIWAB was going to be the HIT!
!!!
Both iconic songs but IIWAB was completely eclipsed by SL.

I thought I had the wrong song on YouTube when I finally heard it
A radio version of single lady came out 3-4 days before the video. It wasn't hq though
The era was so big and hyped, the initial focus was on IIWAB
Then a week later single ladie SWOOPED in and left IIWAB in the dust
Gotta say, I didn't expect INOJ's It's Over to be #1 on the Hot 100 for 35 weeks.
:omgwatshappening:
Never heard if it

I also thought this mess would be a fckn flop.

I was taken tf aback that this blond flop
signed by Akon would become so massive.
:everythingok:
When i first heard the mess it sounded so weird, I couldn't place her. Was she gonna be an urban gorl? I knew she'd fade into obscurity.
I just knew "Crazy In Love" would flop. I despised that song at first

When I heard Brandy "What About Us?" I loved it on the first listen. But the beat was so odd and all over the place. I didn't think people would have catched onto this futuristic heat...
